Happy Friday y'all! This week I've been moving SLOWLY, but trying to get into school mode. On Tuesday I took a professional learning for a new program that our district has started. Technology Trainers in Residence (TTR) which will provide a technology person or two within a school. These people will train teachers on different technology available within the school, help with technology problems within the school, and even try to bring more technology to the school. I took a class Tuesday and Wednesday and found that I was WAY tired when I got home. Next week I am going to try to get on "school" time in order to prepare for the big day, August 7th!
Signs of back to school is all around my house, so I think my hubby will be happy when I'm back in the swing of things and the house is clean! I decided to take some pictures to show you what I mean! :) Enjoy!
**I'm so excited about this hot mess laying on my kitchen table. I don't want to spoil the surprise, but this was a pin that I shared a couple of weeks ago! ;) I need to get it all laminated and hung up. Once it is up I will share my happiness with you.
**This wonderful large utility tote from Thirty-One has been sitting in this chair for awhile now. I've slowly been putting things I made for school in it; like the clothes pins and popsicle stick holders. I've also filled it with items that I've purchased, like classroom decorations, clip boards, and some super awesome scores from Walmart. See the bottom of this post for more information.
**This is a bag full of notebook paper, folders, and one pack of colored pencils. This was donated from my wonderful Aunt Karen. :) <3
**This is sitting on my couch. I punched out letters, cut index cards, and just have planned some AWESOME classroom ideas. ;)
**This dreaded pile is also on my couch. It has been sitting here for a couple of weeks. I have a stack of Mailbox magazines that I can't decide how to store. Does anyone have any ideas for them?
So back to my Walmart story. The other day I was walking around Walmart to get some groceries and decided to walk over to the "Back to School" section. To my surprise there was an aisle dedicated for teacher supplies!! Like cute classroom decorations. Maybe I've been under a rock, but that is the first time I have ever seen these items there!
I came home and did a search and found they have over 2000 items available. They have games, unifix cubes, books on differentiation, and so much more! Check them out! Am I the only one who didn't know about this?
BTW, don't forget to like me on Facebook. I've posted three awesome giveaways that I've stumbled upon!
I can understand you feelings! I have spent the last 3 days really cleaning on my house - just wishing I could get into my classroom so that some of this stuff would go away, but it has been consolidated into 2 neat piles (1 in the garage and 1 in my office)... Good luck with your house!

Juliane, I am happy to report it is more than halfway clean! ;)
DeleteGood luck with yours!!
my house looks so similar. I know my husband is counting the days until I get back to my classroom and get this mess out of our house!!! I have taken over the kitchen table with all my "work". Plus our dining room floor with junk and not to mention upstairs. Its no wonder we eat out every night!

Elizabeth, I like that excuse for eating out! Maybe I should put the mess back and tell hubby that is what we should do! ;)
