GIVEAWAY TIME!!

So I have decided that I wanted to CELEBRATE my first year of teaching being over, and the fact that I STILL HAVE A JOB in this tough economy! Plus, I would like to increase my followers! So I am giving away a book that I read before my first week of teaching started!

If you haven't read this book then you SHOULD!! It has the 55 Essential Rules that everyone should know, adults included! I TRIED very hard to teach my fourth graders manners. Some of them learned, but some of them thought I was crazy. One kid told me her mother told her never to say. "I'm sorry" because she would admit that she is a SORRY person. WHAT IN THE WORLD????

Anyways, for the giveaway of a BRAND NEW copy of The Essential 55 by Ron Clark you can gain entries by the following...

1. Follow my blog (or let me know you already follow it)

2. BLOG about my giveaway, which will give you TWO entries (submit two comments when you complete this one.)

3. Tell me a RULE that you think ALL students should know when it comes to manners.

I will select a winner Wednesday June 1, 2011, which should give me time to figure out the random generator thingy! ;)

Good luck to everyone!! And thank you in advance!

***NEW WAY TO ENTER! I JUST CREATED MY TPT ACCOUNT. IF YOU FOLLOW ME, THEN YOU CAN EARN AN EXTRA ENTRY!!! YAY, THANKS FOR THE IDEA JULIE!

  8. #4 ~ HADAR is so right!! AND....don't they usually tug at your clothing while they are saying, teacher, teacher, teacher over and over and over!!!
My favorite rule that I start the year with and I'm amazed that so many children are not taught this at home.....Don't interupt two teachers talking or two adults talking, etc..... The same is true when I am talking to one child, I want to hear what that child is saying with my undivided attention to show that first child that they are important to me & the second child can wait & when they talk, they are just as important to me too!
This will help in the manners department for their entire life...it teaches patience {which is a virtue} when dealing with adults, kids, co-workers, spouses, etc. etc. etc.
I have had my feet thrown up on last year because of this rule, so I now state it as>>>>
Do not interput 2 people talking unless you are about to be sick or someone is bleeding to death!
Thanks a Bunch for the ☼FUN☼!

  13. Outstanding ~ I now follow your TPT Store! Another cool tip about TPT, on your DASHBOARD you can click "Send A Note To Your Followers" They will send your followers an email once a month! I am going to use it for the sales I will be running this summer! You can't see who follows you, because they don't want you to contact them outside of TPT which makes sense, but it seems like another great way to promote your items! Thanks for the contest!

  16. I love to teach character education to children because so many are not taught at home. My number one rule is to follow the Golden Rule - treat others the way you wish to be treated.
