Mother's Day

I wasn't planning on doing anything for Mother's Day (I know bad teacher!), but on Friday it was Field Day and we were wrapping up our lesson on Light. That morning I decided that I should do something because most of my students would not have any other place to create something.

So I found these two awesome ideas, one from a friend at my school and the other from Anna Brantley's blog Crazy In First Grade. We also made cards from construction paper. Here are a few pictures...

Cutting out the coupon book from Anna Brantley!
Nifty flowers in a flower pot! ;)

I teach four classes and in my LAST class of the day a student made the funniest card that I couldn't stop laughing.
